Mokokchung, 27 March (MTNews): The Satoi Area GBs Association convened a consultative meeting on 26 March 2024 at the Satoi Headquarter in Zunheboto District, wherein all the GBs of eleven villages of Satoi Range attended the meeting.
According to a press release issued by Kaito Zhimo Akukau and Kakheto Aye Akukatou, Chairman and General Secretary of the Satoi Range GBs Association respectively, the house unanimously resolved the following in the interest of the Satoi Range:
The Satoi Range GBs Association reaffirmed its earlier resolution that all government employees in establishments/departments within the Satoi Range must be regularly present during office hours, with no tolerance for proxies. Absentees will be reported to higher authorities.
The association directed all Village Councils and Village Education Committees (VEC) to strictly enforce the prohibition of government teachers engaging in proxy teaching within their jurisdiction. In the event of failure by the Village Council or VEC, the Satoi Range GBs Association will directly intervene and report to higher authorities for necessary action.
The Satoi Range GBs Association resolved to sponsor all school admissions, fees, housing rent, and rations for students studying at the government High School Satoi. It appealed to all citizens to take advantage of this opportunity for free assistance to the student community.
“It is learnt that currently there is only nine government teachers at Government High School Satoi and due to shortage of Government Teachers it has resulted in poor student enrollment, and there is an urgent additional of four Graduate Teachers namely Maths, Science, English and General Teachers to run the institution,” the association said. Therefore, the association appealed to the School Education department to deploy adequate number of government teachers as early as possible.
It also said that there are various ongoing development activities in the region and many government projects are in the pipeline. Therefore, to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to specifications in work orders, the association cautioned that no member of the public or any village should hinder any development activities.
“They should cooperate with government agencies within their respective jurisdictions to facilitate smooth development in the Satoi Range,” the association said.
