The Directorate of School Education has issued the new guidelines for National Teachers’ Awards following its revision last year.
According to the new guideline, the eligibility of teachers for consideration of awards is 10 years regular service, inclusive of teachers from Private Schools affiliated to the State Board. The web portal for online self nomination is nationalawardstoteachers.education,gov.in and is open from 27 June 2024 to 15 July 2024.
In this regard, all DEOs/Sr SDEOs/SDEOs have been requested to give wide publicity to the teachers to ensure maximum participation.
The National Teachers’ Award is meant to celebrate the unique contribution of the finest teachers in the country and to honour those teachers who through their commitment and industry, have not only improved the quality of school education but have also enriched the lives of their students and thereby strengthened the nation.
