The closing ceremony of the Season 4 of 35+ Mokokchung Football League will be held on 18 November 2023 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung with Col. Rahul Gurung, Commandant, 12 Assam Rifles, Mokokchung as the guest of honor.
Highlights of the closing ceremony would include sharing of ‘My Experience of 35+ MFL’ by Zulu Aier and Aongsen Aier, and the crowning of Season 4 champions followed by a music session and dinner at P Shilu Park.
Meanwhile, the last leg of the league will be played ahead of the closing ceremony with Trebuchet FC taking on Senso FC in the first match, followed by New Ecclesia FC versus Wasang FC in the second match and Revenant FC versus Terokroker FC in the season’s last match.
Irrespective of the outcomes of the matches, Revenant FC is poised to be crowned league champions for the fourth consecutive time. All of the six teams in the league have played nine games each with Revenant FC sitting comfortably at the top of the points table with 23 points after securing seven wins, two draws and no loss.
However, Terokroker FC, in second place with 17 points, will want to beat the leaders Revenant FC and take all three points from the game to secure the second position. Wasang FC, who are in third position with 16 points are likely to win their final game against fifth placed New Ecclesia FC – in which case they’ll leapfrog to second place with 19 points. Unless New Ecclesia FC pulls off a shocker and beat Wasang FC, Terokroker faces the risk of finishing third – unless of course they beat Revenant FC.
Meanwhile, Senso FC, positioned at the bottom with just 1 point from nine games, will want to finish the season on a positive note by defeating fourth-placed Trebuchet FC.
