The Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) visited Government High School (GHS), Seyochung Village, as part of their regular monthly inspection.
During the visit, the school faculty shared several concerns. They stated that since the Government Primary School (GPS), Government Middle School (GMS), and Government High School (GHS) were merged into one institution, the school has been facing a shortage of classrooms. The three schools are located in different areas, with considerable distance between them. At present, all classes are being conducted at the Government Middle School, which is proving difficult due to limited space.
The union also observed that despite regular monitoring, some teachers continue to be absent. Union President Longtili C. Sangtam warned that strict action would be taken if the issue persists. He stated that the union would report the matter to higher authorities and take further steps depending on the response.
However, the union expressed appreciation for the teachers who continue to perform their duties diligently, despite the lack of adequate facilities.
