Mokokchung, February 7 (MTNews): Sharingain Longkumer, NDPP candidate for 26 Aonglenden AC kicked off his election campaign at Kubza village to race for the Upcoming 14 Nagaland Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.

In his tour he interacted with village council members, ward authorities, party workers and NDPP Units from Kubza, Settsu, Sangtemla Ward and Marepkong ward.

 

He lauded the Village Council and Ward authority members for opening up ways to conduct a free and fair election atmosphere in their respective jurisdictions and expressed gratitude for giving him their blessing in the previous bye-election.

 

In this regard, he implored the Village Council and Ward authority members for their blessing again in the up-coming election scheduled to be held in February 27.

 

Longkumer also admitted that he could only initiate and implement some developmental activities during this course a few years after covid-19 pandemic lockdown was relaxed.
As such, he said that there are lots of development activities left to be executed and need to be fulfilled.

 

“If the constituency people give him the mandate again to represent them he I am willing to go hand and hand with the people and fulfill their aspirations,’ he asserted.

 

He also challenged party workers to stand true to their party principle and ideology as they will be going back to the people to seek their mandate again.

 

There are hardly two weeks left for the poll, therefore, they must canvassed harder to get the mandate of the people and win the poll in record margin, he challenged the party workers.
