Kohima, 19 May (MTNews): Thavaseelan K, IAS, Principle Director, Directorate of School Education, Nagaland has notified all concerned that new admissions for Class XI in all Government Higher Secondary Schools operating in the State of Nagaland will begin on 25 May, 2023, and the following directives have been issued for strict compliance:

All GHSSs will have a single Online Admission Portal. Students/Parents must use the ‘GHSS Admission Portal’ via the URL provided on the department’s website https://education.nagaland.gov.in and apply for schools and streams of their choosing.

A student may apply to any number of schools and streams of his or her choice.

The portal will be open for students/parents to submit applications from 25 to 31 May, 2023. Students will be required to upload copies of the HSLC Admit Card and Mark Sheet.

Students and parents who are having difficulty utilizing the online facility may seek support from the Department of Information and Technology’s Common Service Centres.

Alternatively, they may download the “Admission Form” from the portal and return it to the respective schools on or before 31 May, 2023.

In the event that forms are accepted at schools (offline mode), the details of the candidates must be added to the list of candidates who applied online and processed jointly.

Candidates will be chosen by the individual schools based on their intake capacity.

The Department will provide distinct guidelines for candidate selection.

A ‘School-Wide List of Selected Candidates’ and a ‘Waiting List’ will be published on the GHSS Admission Portal on 3 June, 2023. The portal will also provide information on the admission fee.
