Slight enrolment decline in both private and government schools; increase in central schools

Kohima, 30 March (MTNews): During the last academic session, the students’ enrolment in government and private schools in Nagaland registered a slight decline while central schools registered a slight increase.

 

This was revealed during the 36th Executive Committee meeting of the Nagaland Education Mission Society (Samagra Shiksha Nagaland) held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, J Alam, IAS at Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, Civil Secretariat, Kohima on 30 March 2023.

During the meeting, according to a DIPR report, the statistics of teachers in Government Schools of Nagaland state in each section of the classes was also highlighted. Education profile of teachers, both trained and untrained, were also presented and discussed. The members also discussed the linking of Aadhaar to the student’s profile so that every anomaly can be detected.

 

The agenda on the audit report, the receipt of the second installment for elementary and secondary education was updated to the house.
