The Society for Naga Students’ Welfare Kerala (SNSWK) successfully concluded its 29th Annual General Conference at Mar Thoma Higher Secondary School, Kottayam, bringing together over 200 delegates from across Kerala. The gathering marked a significant and memorable occasion in the society’s history.
The conference opened with a formal session featuring words of encouragement, reflection, and thanksgiving. Advocate Chandy Oommen, Member of Legislative Assembly, attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he said, “I am deeply impressed by your unity, culture, and contributions. Pursue your academic goals with diligence and remain rooted in your values and traditions.” As part of his contribution to the community, he also donated a 5 Cents plot (50×40 sq. Ft.) in Kottayam to SNSWK.
Cultural programs and traditional dances added vibrancy to the day’s proceedings. Students performed lively routines reflecting the rich heritage of the Naga community, fostering a sense of pride and togetherness among delegates. Informal sessions provided further opportunities for interaction, networking, and fellowship.
SNSWK expressed profound gratitude to the Naga Pensioners’ Association for their continued guidance and support, which serves as a source of strength for the younger generation. The society also extended appreciation to Special Invitees, leaders, and delegates whose participation contributed to the success of the conference.
Financial support from Temjenmoa Jamir, Director of Fitzroy Energy and Minerals Limited & Nagaland Ethanol Private Limited, and S. Andes Konyak, former Commissioner of Nagaland, played a crucial role in facilitating the event. The society also acknowledged numerous friends, supporters, and well-wishers whose contributions made the gathering possible.
The 29th Annual General Conference highlighted the unity, faith, and cultural identity of Naga students in Kerala. The society concluded by offering “all glory and honor to Almighty God for His guidance, provision, and blessings, without which this conference would not have been possible.”
