Sohomi (Phek), December 21: Retrospecting the faithfulness of God over the past 75 years, the Sohomi Baptist Church (SBC) Women’s Department observed its 75th Anniversary on December 15 at Sohomi Baptist Church under the theme “Be the Light,” with Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) Women Secretary Neingupeü K. Rhakho as the theme speaker.
According to official sources from the church, during its 75-year journey since 1949, the faithfulness of God was abundantly evident through countless blessings upon its people, especially the womenfolk, in various walks of life. Henceforth, the entire community of Sohomi expressed its gratitude to God with humility and reverence.
The Anniversary Souvenir was also commemorated on the occasion and was released by its local pastor, Dirakhu Nuwiry. Tizu Area Baptist Church Council (TABCC) Women Chairperson Hichülo Nuwiry brought greetings, while the parents’ choir and youth department presented special praises. Anniversary Convenor Shetsulu Tsory led the function for the occasion.
The day was further marked by a grand anniversary feast and concluded with a strong sense of gratitude and unity. It reflected on 75 years of God’s faithfulness, affirming a commitment to step into the future with a mission of service, peace, and love for the glorification of God’s kingdom.
