Mokokchung, September 23 (MTNews): The Soyim Students’ Union, Ungma Village, undertook an extensive community engagement effort today to address pressing social issues and meet critical community needs within their village. A total of 63 students from the Soyim Shisaluyimer Telongjem (Soyim Students’ Union) actively participated in this community engagement initiative.

Their activities involved a mass social work in which they cleaned important local landmarks, including Yim Süngküm (Village Gate), Süngkong (Log drum), the morung, and other heritage sites/monuments situated within the village’s jurisdiction.

 

The community-driven effort primarily focused on addressing environmental concerns with the goal of making a tangible and positive impact on the lives of local residents.
