Impur, 24 September (MTNews): The three-day ABAM Sunday School Teachers Triennial Conference organized by the ABAM Literature & Education Ministry, was successfully held at Impur from 22 – 24 September 2023.

The conference was held on the theme, “Unconditional love of God in the history of Salvation” (I John 4:19) under the leadership of Dr Moanungsang Tzüdir, Secretary, Literature & Education, ABAM.

The speakers for the worship services were Rev Dr Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM; Dr Moanungsang Tzüdir, Secretary, Literature & Education, ABAM; Mrs Alice Walling, APCE, KABA; and Dr Awala Temshi, Administrator, Straightway Christian Mission Centre, Mokokchung. The theme was the topic for the worship services under which the speakers covered the sub-topics: Lens of a Leader, Lens of Christian Education, Lens of Faith Affirmation, and Lens of Mission.

There were also workshop sections in which Lead Like Jesus in Salvation history, Practical Leadership, Creativity in the Salvation history, and Culture in the Salvation history were covered.

 

Resource persons for the workshop were Mr Toshi Sanglir, Secretary, ABAM YM; Mr Kilang Longkumer, Pastor Nukmen Baptsit Church; Mr Imnatoshi Longkumer, Associate Pastor, DABA; and Mr Robert Longkumer, Founder & Director, Christian Centre for Visual and Performing Arts.

There was also a debate session on the topic “The Church lifts the history of Salvation high” which was indeed a session of inspiration towards the seriousness of God’s mission.

Altogether, 749 Delegates from 117 churches under the aegis of ABAM attended the conference.

“As Sunday School Teachers go and teach especially the young people, our prayer is that God will bring out many God-fearing leaders who will significantly participate in the fight for true Christian integrity,” Rev Dr Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM said in a statement.
