Tuli, June 24 (MTNews): The Young Voters Festival/Electoral Literacy Club Festival was held on Friday at Tuli College, Tuli. The festival was organized by the administration of Tuli Sub-Division in collaboration with Electoral Literacy Club of Tuli college. The objective of the festival was to create awareness and knowledge among the young voters.

 

Shaying Sheu ADC Tuli exhorted the students to play active role in the electoral process. He reminded them about the power and responsibility of a voter and encouraged them to exercise their franchise with clear principle and also urged them to actively participate in coming general election.

 

The festival observed the following activities – Prepared speech competition; Poster campaign competition; and Clean Election pledge.

 

Sentikala of DBS, Tiamongla of Tuli College and Akumsenla Lemtur of DBS were adjudged the first, second and third place winners of the prepared speech competition.

 

In the poster campaign competition, Chubanuksung Longkumer and Sensoakum Longkumer of Tuli College were declared the winners while Chubamangyang and Pangertenzuk, also of Tuli College were declared runners up.

 

The poster campaign was conducted under the theme “my vote is my future – the power of one vote.” Further, the Clean Election pledge was made and signed by all the gathered.
