The Queen Mary Higher Secondary School Alumni Association (QMHSSAA) felicitated the HSLC and HSSLC examination 2022 toppers from Queen Mary Hr. Sec. School at the school auditorium on Saturday.

 

 

On behalf of the QMHSS Alumni Association, Aotula Lemtur, General Secretary, awarded the Alumni Academic Excellence Award to the two HSLC toppers, Narola Imsong (14th rank) and Tsuwanaro Jamir (20th rank). The organisation also recognized Alempongla Longchar, HSSLC state subject topper in Ao, Akolendang, HSLC state subject topper in Environmental Education, and Tsuwanaro Jamir, HSLC state subject topper in Mathematics. Each state rank holder received a cash reward of Rs. 10,000, and each state subject topper received a cash prize of Rs. 5,000.

 

The two rank holders delivered brief speeches. Narola Imsong, HSLC 14th rank holder, thanked God and all those who helped her. She complimented the school in particular for delivering high-quality education and her educators from both the lower and upper sections for their ongoing support and motivation. She urged the other pupils to have faith in themselves and to work hard. Tsuwanaro Jamir, who finished 20th, praised God, her teachers, and her parents for always believing in her and motivating her to do her best.

 

Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, who was also in attendance, congratulated all students who passed the exam. He acknowledged and valued the school’s sincerity and hard effort, as well as the parents’ and guardians’ continued support and guidance, particularly during the two pandemic years.

 

 

He stated that success is a constant process and that being successful in your 15s does not guarantee success in your 25s. He also encouraged the students by noting that there are several possibilities to develop oneself; “So seize each opportunity and strive toward one’s objective,” he added

 

Rev. Fr. Sajimon, Principal, QMHSS, welcomed and exalted the students, and Rev. Sr. Alice, Vice-principal, QMHSS, delivered a special prayer for the successful students.
