Indore, October 12 (MTNews): Jonathan Rongsen’s heroic exploits went in vain as Bihar beat Nagaland by 6 wickets in the senior T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 on Wednesday. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Nagaland scored a respectable total of 145/8 in 20 overs against a decent Bihar bowling attack spearheaded by AN Raj, who scalped 4/32. Jonathan led the Nagaland batters by scoring 66 off 60 balls, including five 4s and a maximum. Chetan Bist contributed a valuable 43 (35) for Nagaland.

In reply, Bihar scored 148/4 in 19.1 overs, winning the match by 6 wickets and securing 4 points from the game. Mangal Mahrour 47(39) top scored for Bihar but Sachin Kumar* 34(18) was the batter who took the game away from Nagaland. Akash Singh, Shrikant Mundhe, Nagaho Chishi and Tahmeed Rahman took a wicket each for Nagaland.
