Kohima | 10 March(MTNews): The Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) successfully concluded the Foundational Music Production Workshop under the Skilling Nagaland initiative, held in Kohima on March 8, 2025. The workshop, which saw the participation of 22 aspiring music producers and musicians, focused on equipping them with essential production skills and exposure to modern music technology.
Imcha Imchen, the resource person for the training program, encouraged the participants to move forward and assured them of his assistance at any time in the future. He also thanked the participants for their active engagement and for contributing to the success of the training program.
During the Valedictory Program, participants shared overwhelmingly positive feedback, highlighting that learning about AI in music production was one of the most interesting aspects of the workshop. They also appreciated the opportunity to work with new music production software, gaining hands-on experience that enhanced their technical skills. Many expressed gratitude for the free learning opportunity and urged TaFMA to continue organizing similar capacity-building programs in the future.
Project Director Dr. Hovithal Sothu, in his exhortation, encouraged participants to remain steadfast and committed to their craft. He also extended his gratitude to TaFMA Chairman Theja Meru for his dedication to the growth of Nagaland’s music and arts industry. Assuring continued support, he emphasized that more professional training programs would be conducted in the coming days.
The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates by Adu Keditsu, Manager (Electrical & Electronics), and Aleno Sale, Media Officer.
