Khamo emphasized the need for entrepreneurship and business ventures to be seen as alternatives to government jobs, encouraging the youth to become job creators and employers. He stressed that PMEGP Scheme beneficiaries have the potential to create jobs and advised them to utilize funds effectively for prosperity.

Khamo asserted that building industries or achieving wealth is not possible without the support of banks, and he urged attendees to fulfill their loan repayments honestly. He informed the audience about the Nagaland government’s Chief Minister Micro-Finance Scheme (CMMFI) and urged the youth to take advantage of such initiatives.

Khamo advised people not to focus solely on money but to understand the projects they undertake, emphasizing the importance of professionalism in business. He also highlighted the significant opportunities in meat production, fruit cultivation, and food processing, encouraging locals to start such enterprises rather than relying solely on imports or external services that dominate the business ecosystem.

Khamo expressed concern about the lack of commitment among the Nagas in their work and life principles and urged them to lead purpose-driven lives created by God. He explained that business is not just about money; trust-building is essential, regardless of the size of the enterprise.

Khamo stressed the need for critical thinking in business strategies and pointed out that Phek district needs to embrace new ideas for livelihood progress, driven by commitment and hard work.
Cholzo Sophie, General Manager of DIC – Chozuba, emphasized that PMEGP funds are not free money but a credit link that must be repaid. He encouraged aspirants to prioritize repayments and participate in Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programs (ESDP) while exploring less-ventured sectors for business growth.

Lukheto Shohe, Executive Officer of NKVIB, Chozuba, discussed the PMEGP Scheme’s goal of generating employment. He urged applicants to make the best use of the funds to improve their livelihoods.

Shemrihor, Branch Manager of SBI- Chozuba, presented banking modalities and the application process, underscoring the importance of PMEGP in creating sustainable employment. He warned against fund diversion and emphasized strict adherence to ensure effective utilization.

The welcome address was delivered by Kezhaletuo Khruomo, Inspector of Industries.
