Mokokchung, November 23 (MTNews): A Book entitled “Terongjem Sabi” authored by L Samuel Pongen was released by I Temjen Tzüdir, Secretary, Ao Senden Literature Board (ASLB) at Ao Senden office on Wednesday.
L Samuel Pongen, a native of Salulamang village is currently the Associate Pastor, Christian Education, Sungkomen Baptist Church.
According to Pongen, the book is a collection of 20 short stories in the Ao language.
Pongen said that the success of his first book which was released earlier this year gave him the motivation to write another.
He said that, prior to compiling his set of stories, he had consulted with content creators such as Dreamz Unlimited and Folk Chanters if they would be interested in bringing his stories in the visual form and the groups had shown interest, which he said encouraged him to publish the book.
Pongen also encouraged the youths to read the book which is an assemble of love stories that contains happiness, sadness as well as heartbreaks. He stated that the book will serve as a guide to them in choosing one’s partner in life.
The dedicatory prayer for the book was pronounced by Rev O Yashi, Sungkomen Baptist Church.
