The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) in a public statement issued today has expressed regrets that the Government has made no official statement about the status of the SIT investigation or its report on the Oting and Mon incidents of December 4 and 5, 2021 even after 5 months since the SIT investigation was initiated.

While saying that there must be no miscarriage of justice, FNR sad that truth must be told for justice to be delivered. “The investigation and its findings are a matter of public interest and in order for justice to prevail, the SIT report must be made public as a gesture of transparency and accountability to the affected families and community,” FNR said.

FNR further said that the Government of India must not treat lightly its official emblem inherited from Emperor Ashoka – Satyameva Jayate (Truth Alone Triumphs).
