Kohima, August 23 (MTNews): The valedictory program of the Nagaland CSR and Investment Conclave was held at NBCC Convention Centre Kohima, on 23rd August 2022.
CEO, Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland, Alemtemshi Jamir in his welcome address stated that the people of Nagaland should start to realize that there is a world beyond the government sector and the sole purpose of the CSR conclave was to make the people aware about the opportunities and avenues available in the private sector and also give them a glimpse of the bigger things growing globally around us.

He further thanked all the corporates who had come to Nagaland and participated in the conclave and made the dream of having a CSR and Investment Conclave in Nagaland a reality. Jamir also highlighted the expressions of interest signed by a number of companies and thanked the corporate houses for willingly coming and participating and said that the people of Nagaland are ever grateful for opening their eyes on the capabilities and possibilities of the private sector as well as the corporate world. In conclusion he expressed hope that the corporate world will continue to show their interest and come forward to work with the people of Nagaland and change the small state of Nagaland into a global location.

 

Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue & Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu in his special address thanked the Corporate houses for participating in the conclave and showing concern for the people of Nagaland. He highlighted in brief the history about the struggle of the people of Nagaland and the political issues that has hampered the State’s Development since the time of the country’s independence.

 

 

He however concluded that the issues would soon be resolved and urged the Corporate Houses not to have any apprehensions about investing in the State and that the people of Nagaland are ready to work hand in hand with the Corporate Houses. He also mentioned that the Government of Nagaland would soon bring new reforms to the existing Land Laws in the State so as to ensure ease of doing business in the state and making the State Investment Friendly.

 

The Valedictory Session concluded with Secretary Works & Housing, Kesonyu Yhome, IAS pronouncing the vote of thanks.
