Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mokokchung conducted a training session for women farmers under Poshan Pakhwada on April 15th at Chuchuyimpang village. The program was attended by 25 women from various Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

Khekali Sema, ACTO (Horticulture) and Nodal Officer for the Nutri-Sensitive Agriculture Research Innovation (NARI) program, highlighted the significance of observing the Poshan Pakhwada week (April 8th-22nd). She also provided insights into the NARI program and the establishment of Nutri gardens. Additionally, she trained the participants on the harvesting indices of various vegetables.

Imtisenla, ACTO (Agronomy), discussed the role of women in agriculture. She emphasized the various crops and ventures that women can undertake to increase income and generate employment.

Imtilemla, ACTO (Soil Conservation), addressed sustainability in gardening through effective soil fertility management. She encouraged the women to utilize nutrients from various sources to maintain good yields and improve soil quality.

The training program focused on empowering women with knowledge and skills to enhance their agricultural practices and contribute to the ongoing Poshan Pakhwada initiative.
