Trials for Minerva Academy Football Club underway in Nagaland

Dimapur, May 9 (MTNews): Minerva Academy Football Club based in Punjab, in partnership with the Khelo India Centre Greenwood School, hosted a trial in Dimapur commencing today, 9 May, in an attempt to hunt for grassroots level footballers in Nagaland for Minerva’s World batch 2034.

“Hundreds of players from districts such as Dimapur, Peren, Mon, and Chumukedima, as well as players from neighboring states Assam and Meghalaya, participated,” according to an update received here.

 

The final Dimapur trial will take place on 10 May. The chosen players from Dimapur and Kohima will be given a free scholarship to train at the Minerva Academy FC. The next trial will be held on 12 and 13 May at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima at 8:30am.

 

Minerva Academy FC is based in Punjab and is a renowned top football academy known for producing professional footballers in India.
