The Tikhir Students’ Union Kohima (TSUK) organised its Annual Session cum Career Guidance Programme at the State Academy Hall, Kohima, on August 22, bringing together students, leaders and invited guests for a programme focused on academic achievement, career planning and personal development.
YP Chillio Kham, State Information Commissioner, Government of Nagaland, attended as the special guest, while T Jongsen, Secretariat Assistant, Government of Nagaland, served as the resource person.
The programme began with an invocation by Tsüsuthong Y, Youth Pastor, TBCK, followed by a welcome address by TSUK president Zisekyu T Chirr. Tikhir Union Kohima president Y. Torepkiu delivered an exhortation, encouraging students to remain committed to their studies and future aspirations.
The programme also featured a Meritorious Award presentation by TSUK vice president Wongtikiu S, recognising students for their academic achievements. Yukhianmong M, Statistical Secretary, presented the statistical report, followed by a prayer for students led by YT Tsinthong, Pastor, TBCK.
Addressing the gathering, Kham encouraged students to pursue their aspirations with dedication, responsibility and a clear sense of purpose.
The second session featured a career guidance seminar on “Beyond Degrees, Choosing the Right Career Path”, led by Jongsen. He encouraged students to identify their interests, develop relevant skills and make informed career choices beyond academic qualifications.
The programme also included a freshers’ introductory session, interaction hour and musical presentations. The event concluded with a benediction by Atsula, Women Pastor.
