Mokokchung, 6 June (MTNews): In commemoration of World Environment Day, the Nagaland Ecological and Sanitation Management Society (NESMS) in collaboration with Tuli Area Ongpangkong Students’ Union organized a tree plantation drive on the theme “Mission Life”.

 

 

 

Tuli Area Ongpangkong Students’ Union President, Moa Jamir welcomed all the members, volunteers and well-wishers for their support and cooperation. “In the near future, the twin partnership will work hand and hand for the betterment of our community,” he exhorted.

 

Nagaland Ecological & Sanitation Management Society (NESMS) Co-ordinator, Temjen Jamir expressed cooperation with the Tuli Area Ongpangkong Students’ Union in the coming days and appreciated their willingness for the plantation program as proposed by the society. He also expressed special thanks to Merendo Jamir YouTube channel for his support and participation.

 

The Places covered in the plantation program included Tuli Police Station, Additional Deputy Commissioner Office, Dobashi Court, Tuli Town Baptist Church, Tuli Lenten Baptist Church pastor and associate pastor women residence, NPCC ground (Patizung ward), Longli Lenten Fellowship premises and some public places. The names of the trees planted were Paulownia, Pine, Hybrid Coconut, Silver Oak etc.
