A case has been registered at Mokokchung Police Station-II involving two individuals from Assam over the alleged non-delivery of construction materials valued at over ₹12 lakh. According to sources, the complaint was filed by a representative of a Nagaland-based construction firm after an advance payment was reportedly made for 26 tons of TMT bars intended for a project in Longleng district.

Reliable sources have told MT that Police have identified the accused as: Krishna Agarwal, Mariani, Jorhat District, Assam; and Binay Agarwal, also known locally as Ujjawal Kumar Agarwal, Makum, Tinsukia District, Assam.

Both individuals are currently named in the investigation. Police state that the matter involves allegations of advance payment and subsequent delay or failure in delivery. The complainant claims that repeated attempts to contact the suppliers for delivery or refund were unsuccessful, leading to the filing of the case.

According to police sources, summons were issued to both accused, and further action was initiated after they allegedly failed to respond. One of the accused, Krishna Agarwal, was later located and brought in for questioning with assistance from police authorities in Assam. The second accused, Binay Agarwal, is understood to have been detained in connection with a separate case outside Nagaland.

Officials indicate that the investigation is ongoing and may involve examination of financial transactions, communications, and business links associated with the supply deal. The status of the case is subject to further verification based on official police actions and court procedures.
