Mokokchung, February 27 (MTNews): A house in Ungma village where Congress candidate for 26 Aonglenden AC, Toshipokba Longkumer was staying was reportedly vandalized and multiple vehicles were damaged on Monday evening after the polls had concluded.
According to Amongin Imsong, Chief Agent to Longkumer, around 50 miscreants came to the house and vandalized it and also damaged 4 vehicles.
Imsong said that 3 persons were also injured of whom two had to get stitches to their head injuries. The incident happened at around 10:00 PM, he said.
When asked about the whereabouts of the candidate during the incident, Imsong said that the candidate was at a neighbour’s house at that time. More details were awaited during the time of filing of this report.
