Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Union Minister of Communications and Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), arrived in Dimapur on Thursday, 14 November, for a series of meetings aimed at reviewing ongoing schemes and projects in Nagaland.

The Union Minister was welcomed at Dimapur Airport by Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister, TR Zeliang. In his tweet, Zeliang shared that Scindia’s visit would include discussions with Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and senior officials from the Government of Nagaland (GoN).

The meetings are expected to focus on the progress of various central government projects and schemes in the state, as well as the opportunities for further development in the region.

According to the Ministry of DoNER, during Scindia’s visit to Northeast, he will meet CM Rio for an “important discussion on the state’s growth trajectory” and key development initiatives under the Ministry of DoNER.

Taking to X, CM Rio welcomed the Union Minister stating, “Looking forward to having a productive meeting on Nagaland’s growth trajectory, and ongoing development initiatives.”
