Mokokchung, 14 September (MTNews): Vethozo Lohe has been selected for the International Federation of Armwrestling (IFA) World Armwrestling Championship 2023, which is scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 19-year-old National Arm Wrestling Champion is from the Phek district of Nagaland.
Lohe is a self-trained athlete who trained in his home with his buddies and the arm wrestling community led by Neli Saprüna. He has defeated top arm wrestlers in the country in both his junior and senior categories.
As Lohe is set to leave for Malaysia on 24 September, a donation drive to raise Rs 60,000 has been initiated to fund his travel expenses. According to a report, he will write the names of all the donors with his hand on the back of his shirt, which he will wear while competing with the top world arm wrestlers.
