Watsü Mungdang under its School of Culture will be organizing a two-day workshop on bead works and wood craft. Dr Adangla Changkija, Convenor, School of Culture informed that the workshop will be held at Aor Kilem,Sangtemla Ward, Mokokchung on 1 & 2 August.

“Last year we successfully conducted pottery and bamboo craft workshops and this year too we are hoping that we will have a positive response,” she said. “With many youth sitting idle after their studies, and with less job opportunities, if youths can acquire the skills of bead making and wood craft, they will be able to sustain by owning small businesses,” she added.

“Not just youths but older people can also benefit from this workshop,” she further added.

The registration fee will be a minimum of 500 rupees per individual. There will be 25 seats available for bead work and 10 seats for wood craft. Interested individuals can contact 8837091896 / 9436424238. The last date for registration is 29 July.
