The Working Committee (WC), Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) and the Zealiangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zealiangrong Youth Front (ZYF) Assam, Manipur Nagaland, and Zealiangrong Students’ Union, (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zeliangrong Baudi Manipur had a “meaningful” consultative meet on 7th June 2022, at Dimapur.
“The Zealiangrong CSO leaders (AMN), expressed much appreciation to WC, NNPGs for taking on board all Naga tribes beyond Nagaland state. They expressed great hope that since the political negotiations with all Naga groups had concluded on 31st October 2019, Naga people in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland would be restored of their identity andpolitical rights through honorable and acceptable political solution,” a joint press release received here on Tuesday said.
The press release further said that the Zealiangrong CSO leaders from three states acknowledged that Agreed Position and subsequent Status Paper of WC, NNPGs has given a “transparent and explicit future position of Nagas which is acceptable to all sections.”
“Zealiangrong CSO leaders expressed full support and endorsement of WC, NNPGs Agreed Position and urged the WC to bring honorable solution at the earliest,” the release further said.
The joint press release was appended by Titus Kamei, Vice President Zeliangrong Baudi (ANM); Poupoklung Kamei, President, Zeliangrong Baudi Manipur State; Henry Chawang, President AZSU (AMN); Lunglailung Malangmei, President, ZYF (AMN); and N. Kitovi Zhimomi, Convener WC, NNPGS.
