The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) has called on all its members, leaders, and affiliated organizations to join the upcoming celebration of the 29th anniversary of the Chakhesang-Sümi Brotherhood. The event, which marks a significant milestone in the bond between the Chakhesang and Sümi communities, is set to take place on November 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Baptist Theological College Ground in Pfutsero Town, Phek.

The celebration is being organized jointly by the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) and the Sümi Hoho. The WCH is expecting over 500 delegates from the Chakhesang community in the Western Area to attend, reflecting the community’s commitment to unity and collective strength.

As the apex body of the Chakhesang community, the CPO has extended a special invitation to members residing in the Western Area, the WCH is urging a strong response. “It is imperative on our part to respond in good numbers,” the WCH stated.

In this regard, the WCH has made it mandatory for the office bearers of all frontal bodies of WCH, namely the Western Chakhesang Mothers Association (WCMA), Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO), Western Chakhesang Students Union (WCSU), and Western Chakhesang Goan Bura’s Association (WCGBA), to attend and actively mobilize their members for the gathering.

Additionally, all affiliated units of WCH and Chakhesang Villages have been requested to send at least Ten (10) representatives or more to ensure strong participation.

“Your presence is vital as we commemorate the enduring bond between the Chakhesang and Sümi communities and celebrate the progress achieved over the past 29 years. Let us come together in unity to honor our shared history and aspirations for the future,” it added.
