The Western Sumi Hoho, led by its president Tokuho Suhoi Neho, paid a courtesy visit to Commissioner of Police Dimapur Aotula T Imchen, IPS, at her office on August 12 and held discussions on various issues confronting society.

The Hoho appreciated Imchen for her efforts in curbing illegal activities and assured her of its cooperation in promoting social harmony and peace.

The Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Hoho for its assurance of collective efforts to address illegal activities. She also voiced concern over the influx of illegal immigrants and drug use among youth.

Imchen urged the Hoho to encourage young people to participate diligently in competitive examinations and develop self-reliance rather than depend on others for their livelihood. She also expressed concern over the growing unemployment among youth and stressed the importance of hard work in reducing dependency.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the community and police in addressing social challenges and promoting peace and responsible citizenship.
