In what can be termed as good news for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers, camera traps set up by the Forest Department in a community reserve in Mokokchung district have successfully captured images of various wildlife including sambar deer, wild boar, kaleej pheasant and red jungle fowl.
As reported by this newspaper earlier, a four member team of the Forest Department set up the camera traps in association with the Joint Forest Management Committee of a village in the district to monitor and document presence of wildlife in the unnamed village’s community protected forest area.
