In a conversation with Mokokchung Times, Surojit Mitra, the school’s principal, attributed the success to a combination of relentless effort from the faculty and the “grace of the divine”. Mitra extended gratitude to the parents, faculty, staff, and students, emphasizing the pivotal role of experienced teachers in shaping the students’ academic journey. He noted that teachers for classes 9 and 10 boast a minimum of 7 years of teaching experience, with some exceeding 12 years in the school.

“We also prioritize thorough screening during classes 8, 9, and 10,” Mitra stated. He further underscored the nurturing environment at LMS, describing it as lenient and supportive, where each student is cherished as precious, akin to God’s children.

Mitra shed light on the school’s ‘grassroots nurturing’, revealing that approximately 96-97%, are students who studied in LMS from nursery adding that they rarely take new admission unless their parents are government servants and were transferred to the district.

However, LMS has not been without its challenges. Despite its commendable efforts, the school faced hurdles, particularly in the science stream. While pioneering the introduction of the science stream in 2000, LMS encountered difficulties with teacher retention. Mitra explained that young, fresh graduates often left for competitive exams, leading to disruptions in the educational process.

Nevertheless, with resilience and determination, LMS continues to thrive, boasting a student enrolment of approximately 1000 including the Arts stream in Higher Secondary section. Mitra also expressed satisfaction with the performance in the HSSLC for securing a 100% result.

It may be noted that from Wokha district, Nchumbemo R Lotha from Isaiah Ability Higher Secondary School also secured Top 7 in the recently announced NBSE conducted HSLC exam result.

  1. The subsequent time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, however I truly thought youd have one thing fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could possibly fix in case you werent too busy searching for attention.

  2. I’ve come across that today, more and more people are attracted to digital cameras and the field of images. However, to be a photographer, you should first invest so much time deciding the model of digital camera to buy as well as moving store to store just so you might buy the most inexpensive camera of the trademark you have decided to choose. But it would not end right now there. You also have to contemplate whether you should buy a digital digicam extended warranty. Thanks for the good tips I obtained from your blog.

  3. One thing I’d prefer to say is that often before obtaining more laptop or computer memory, check out the machine in to which it could be installed. In case the machine is actually running Windows XP, for instance, the actual memory threshold is 3.25GB. Adding in excess of this would purely constitute a new waste. Make sure one’s motherboard can handle your upgrade volume, as well. Great blog post.
