The Women Entrepreneurs Mokokchung (WEM) is organizing a two-day ‘pop-up store’ from 31 July to 1 August at Imlong Place, Mokokchung, featuring 17 different home-based brands, showcasing a variety of unique and handcrafted items. The event aims to encourage and support women in entrepreneurship.
The pop-up store offers a wide array of products, including natural manures, resin combs and keyholders, beaded bags, notebooks, fridge magnets, cups, cakes, pastries, newspaper-woven utility baskets and home decor, pickles, snacks, crochet flowers and toys, contemporary fusion and traditional jewelry and accessories, live flowers and plants, among others.
WEM was founded in July 2023 and has participated in several occasions, representing the artistic and creative qualities of women entrepreneurs. The 2-day event is unique as it also welcomed participation from non-WEM members, broadening the platform for more women to showcase their talents and businesses.
