Mokokchung, July 29 (MTNews): The National Viral Hepatitis Control Program Peren marked “World Hepatitis Day” 2022 on July 28, 2017, in District Hospital, Peren, with the theme “Bringing Care Closer to You- Hepatitis Can’t Wait.”

 

 

 

 

Dr. Renbonthung Lotha, SMO, District Hospital, Peren, spoke on the occasion and discussed the prevention of hepatitis, the value of early detection and treatment, as well as the free screening tests and treatment services offered at the District Hospital under the NVHCP.

 

Speaking about the importance of the day, he further emphasised that it is observed to raise awareness of the different types of hepatitis and how they are transmitted. He also discussed ways to better manage, identify, and prevent viral hepatitis and other related disorders.

 

The programme was chaired by Dr. Kekhrielhouto Sophie, Nodal Officer Treatment Centre DH, Peren for Hepatitis, and Dr. J. John Kent, SMO, DH Peren, offered the vote of thanks
