Peren, 28 April (MTNews): MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity (M-RITE) Project, Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN) organized World Immunization Week 2023 under the theme ‘The Big Catch-up’ and was celebrated in Ramzie School, Jalukie, Peren on 27 April.

 

 

Dr Michael Tetseo, MO, CHC Jalukie spoke on the importance of immunization, where he stressed about the importance of vaccination and also emphasized saying that to live a healthy living standard we have to start from oneself. He motivated the students to be an ambassador to create awareness about the different activities carried out by the medical department. He also said that the World Immunization Week aim is to highlight the collective action needed to protect people from vaccine-preventable diseases.

 

A speech competition was held under the topic “The role of vaccines in preventing diseases” and Keyisabeule, Nsanglungle, Peniel won the first, second and third prize. The winners were awarded with certificates and gifts.
