Mokokchung, 17 January (MTNews): Nineteen senior office bearers of the BJP from 33 Suruhuto-Asuto Assembly Constituency in Zunheboto, led by their Vice President Vikheto Shikhu, along with their supporters, resigned en masse from the party and unanimously resolved to join the Congress party under the leadership of the NPCC President S Supongmeren Jamir. This was informed in a press release by the Nagaland Congress through its Communications Department.
The Congress also shared copies of the mass resignation letter appended by the now-resigned BJP members.
The 19 BJP members who joined Congress are:
