Nagaland wins 9 medals, Assam adjudged overall champion
Mokokchung, 27 August (MTNews): The 10th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2023 organized by the Shooting Association of Meghalaya (SAM) was held at the shooting ranges, Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong, Meghalaya from 20th to 27th August 2023.
A total of 227 shooters from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland participated at the 10th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2023 organized by the Shooting Association of Meghalaya (SAM) held at the shooting ranges, Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong, Meghalaya from 20 to 27 August 2023.
An update from the Nagaland Rifle Association received here informed that 17 shooters from Nagaland participated at the Championship and bagged 9 medals. Assam was adjudged the overall Champion.
Further, the NRA informed that 7 shooters from Nagaland have qualified to participate at the 66th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) 2023 during November/December 2023.
The 11th North East Zone Shooting Championship (NEZSC) 2024 has been declared to be held in Nagaland, organised by Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, Khelo India Centre, Dimapur and conducted by the Nagaland Rifle Association under the aegis of National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).

4. 10M Air Pistol Sub Youth Men Individual – Imnanungsang Tzudir – Silver
5. 10M Air Pistol Youth Men Individual – Imnanungsang Tzudir – Silver
6. 10M Air Pistol Men Individual – Neizo Belho – Silver
7. 10M Air Pistol Master Men Individual – Lanu Rongsenkaba Jamir – Silver
8. 25M Standard Pistol Master Men Individual – Lanu Rongsenkaba Jamir – Silver
9. 50M Rifle P.S Prone Master Men Individual – Lanu Akumtoshi Jamir – Bronze
