Mokokchung, 12 November (MTNews): Gameweek 9 of the 35+ Mokokchung Football League was marked by crucial wins for Wasang FC, Revenant FC and Trebuchet FC on Saturday played at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung.
In the first match, Jyothy of Wasang FC scored the lone goal of the match in the 64th minute against second placed Terokroker FC. The victory brings Wasang FC within 1 point of Terokroker FC on the league table, dealing a significant setback to Terokroker FC’s title aspirations. With this result, Terokroker FC now trails table-toppers Revenant FC by 6 points, making their chances of overtaking the leaders increasingly improbable.
Meanwhile, Revenant FC maintained their league dominance with a decisive 2-0 victory over the bottom-placed Senso FC. This crucial win solidifies Revenant FC’s position at the summit of the points table. Senso FC, with only 1 point from 9 games, faces an uphill battle to improve their standing.
In the third match of the day, Trebuchet FC came back from a goal down to win their match against New Ecclesia FC 2-1.
