Wokha, 15 April (MTNews): NCP MLA Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe of 38 AC said, ‘Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is a success’ and urged the gathering to ‘forgive within and work for social progress’ adding that an individual alone can’t do much.

Speaking at his Thanksgiving program at Wokha Village public ground, he acknowledged the electorate of 38 AC for electing him in the recently conducted NLA election 2023 and vowed to do away individualistic mindset and attitudes but rather work as ‘one for all and all for one’ with common aspirations.

 

 

Stating that a true leader should provide roads where it is required, better electricity, quality health sector, economic upliftment, and quality education to the public, he sought prayer and support from the people so that he could achieve the role of a true politician.

 

 

Speaking on government employment, he informed the parents and competitive exams aspirants that government services for grade three and above is purely based on competition and that the aspirants need to give their best. He further said that the government services in the state have reached a saturation point and encouraged the educated youths to venture into various skills education and engage in self-employment generation activities.

 

 

Former MLA Dr Chumben Murry currently serving as an advisor to Chief Minister of Nagaland in his short speech thanked the electorates of 38 AC Wokha for electing him twice to power in the past and presently serving MLA Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe to be their leader of 38 AC Wokha.

 

 

He also acknowledged the visionary and the magnanimous attitude of Chief minister Neiphiu Rio for accommodating him. Expressing various drawbacks, he called the people specially the township of Wokha HQ to give cleanliness a priority as it gives the glimpse of the district, while he also urged upon the people to constantly keep praying for the long anticipated Naga Political settlement expressing that delay in bringing solution has become a hindrance for the social progress of the Nagas.

 

 

In the program Vanthungo Odyuo state president NCP Nagaland and Er Mhondamo Ovung chairman, Lotha hoho delivered a short speech.

 

 

Short introduction was done by Dr Libemo Kithan, while Rev O Thungben Kikon pastor Wokha Village Baptist Church said the thanksgiving prayer.
