At least 600 Nagas, including females, have been provided with 372 hours of practical and theory sessions on Skill Proficiency Management for Building and Other Construction Workers’ Advance Training of Trainers (ToT) 2023-24 Phase-II.
The training, funded by the Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (NBOCWWB) with Zynorique Initiative Society Nagaland as the implementing agency, was conducted in six districts of the state: Shamator, Noklak, Mon, Tuensang, Mokokchung, and Kiphire from March to November 2024, in coordination with the respective District Administrations.
The training was provided mainly for Naga youths, both educated and uneducated, between the ages of 18 and 60, who had prior experience in the construction sector, such as electrician, plumbing, tiling, RCC, and stone masonry.
This multi-skilled training also focused on a ToT module, where exams were conducted on various topics to assess the proficiency of the trained workers. Test modules in the form of interactive learning panels were also handed over to the respective district administrations. Trainers, two from each location, were extensively trained in Kohima for a period of three months prior to the commencement of the training.
This Training of Trainers (ToT) program further empowers every district to conduct further training independently. This strategy of proficiency tests and skill assessments will help segregate skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers at the district level, thus assisting the administration and the Department of Labour in regulating the rates of workers in the construction sector.
The number of trained individuals per area is as follows: Shamator Headquarters 100, Noklak Headquarters 100, Monyakshu Village 50, Tobu Town 50, Tuensang Headquarters 40, Chingmelen Village 30, Chare Town 30, Chungtia Village 50, Sungratsü Village 50, and Pungro Town 100.
Of the 600 trainees, four females—two each from Tobu Town in Mon district and Sungratsü village in Mokokchung district—successfully completed the training.
Upon completion of the successful training, the trainees were provided with basic tools and materials for self-employment in various sectors.
The successful candidates were also pre-registered into the NBOCWWB welfare scheme, which assists registered construction workers by providing health insurance, tool grants, school fees, etc.
The successful candidates are also eligible for further advanced training in the near future.
Thanks for your valuable post. Over time, I have come to understand that the symptoms of mesothelioma are caused by a build up associated fluid between lining of your lung and the upper body cavity. The disease may start inside the chest location and propagate to other areas of the body. Other symptoms of pleural mesothelioma include weight-loss, severe respiration trouble, fever, difficulty eating, and swelling of the neck and face areas. It must be noted that some people existing with the disease tend not to experience any serious signs and symptoms at all.
