Changki Kaketsüri Longjem (CKL) inaugurated its 6th CKL Conference-Cum-Sports Meet, scheduled from January 6 to 9, 2025, with a grand opening ceremony on January 6th. The event was centered on the theme, “Esüng Emti Metalokjetba Lokti” (“Towards a Self-Reliant Society”). Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The inaugural program kicked off with remarks from Temjenmenba Pongen, MLA and Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Government of Nagaland, who extended a warm welcome to all attendees as the Chief Host of the Conference.
In his address, Sharingain Longkumer emphasized the importance of communication, coordination, and courtesy in building a self-reliant society. He further underscored that unity is indispensable for building a society that is self-reliant.
On the second day of the event, January 7th, the Sports Meet was inaugurated by Temjenmenba Pongen, who addressed the gathering once again as the Guest of Honour. Pongen highlighted how sports are a catalyst for character building, personal growth and is a stronghold to develop unity. He stressed that conferences and sports events serve as crucial platforms for the development of individuals, contributing to both personal and community growth.
CKL organizers expressed optimism that the four-day event would serve as a pillar for the growth of every Changkian, encouraging excellence and progress.
