The 9th North East India International Model United Nations (NEIMUN) conference is scheduled to take place from 18 to 20 October 2024 at the Don Bosco Institute of Development and Learning in Dimapur, Nagaland. Anchored in the principles of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security, this year’s conference aims to address critical issues affecting the region, including drug trafficking, the small arms trade, poverty, and conflicts arising from the climate crisis.

NEIMUN 2024 seeks to create a platform for meaningful dialogue, skill enhancement, and networking opportunities. The conference will provide a life-changing journey designed to equip youth from the region with the tools to lead actions in their communities and beyond. The event is designed to promote knowledge for empowerment, comprehensive peacebuilding, and cultural collaboration, while also encouraging sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

NEIMUN has a tradition of featuring distinguished speakers who contribute valuable insights into global affairs. Past speakers include Mr. Paul Seong, Deputy Director at USAID, U.S. Embassy India; Mr. River O’Nell Wallang, Former High Commissioner to Zambia and Malawi; Damon A. Williams, Vice Consul at the US Consulate General, India; Dr. Bremley W.B. Lyngdoh, Founder & CEO of Worldview Impact, London; Mr. Ryan Villanueva, Co-Founder of Best Delegate USA; Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Former Governor of Nagaland and Manipur; and Kevin Felix Chan, Co-Founder of Best Delegate USA.
