Kohima, August 6 (MTNews): Model Christian College, Kohima observed its 14th Annual Freshers’ Meet on the 6th of August, 2022 at the College Auditorium. The theme for the event was ‘Iridescence’. Miss Reluiluingle of BA 1st semester spoke on behalf of the freshers.
Principal, Dr. Luke Rymbai, exhorted the fresh students to chase their dreams. He stressed that one should chase one’s dreams with determined action rather than merely following the rut. He also encouraged the students to have alternatives while chasing their dreams. He suggested a few steps towards achieving dreams and also highlighted the life story of Ann Davis and his ten-point ‘Major Mistakes People Make When Chasing Dreams.’ He further reiterated that the initial step towards achieving dreams is to read, read and read.
During the event, Mr. Shembo of the Political Science Department and Miss Karini of the English Department were crowned Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher, Model Christian College, 2022. The subtitle awards of Best Walk went to Mr. Bokivi and Miss Surenbeni, Mister and Miss Congeniality to Mr. Vielhoutso and Miss Vudeni, and Mister and Miss Talented to Mr. Vielhoutso and Miss Karini.
