Mokokchung, August 14 (MTNews): The first Aongza Achievers’ Award was presented to three recipients during the 61stAongza Ward General Meeting at Aongza Ki on 13th of August 2022. The three recipients were Yimtiyong Longkumer, son of Lt. Lipokyanger & Moalemla from Ungma Village, for achieving 7th rank in the HSSLC Arts examination 2021 under NBSE; Esther, daughter of Dr.Rongsenwati & Sentimongla from Kinunger Village, for achieving State subject topper with cent percent marks in Social Sciences in the HSLC examination 2022 under NBSE; and Bendangrenla S Longkumer, daughter of Sakuyuba Longkumer & Asangtila from Aliba Village, for attaining Assistant Professorship in the Department of English through NPSC examination 2022.
The Awards carried certificates and cash prizes of Rs.5000/- for the top 20 rank, Rs.1000/- for subject topper and a certificate of appreciation for the professorship.
The Aongza Achievers’ Award was set up by the Aongza Ward Yimden in 2019 to recognize and to encourage the youth of Aongza Ward to excel in the field of education and competitive exams, managed through the Aongza Ward Award Trust. The Awards are being given from the year 2021 onwards.
