Mokokchung, September 9 (MTNews): The All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA), Mokokchung Unit organized the District Level Literary Competition at Model Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung on Friday.

 

Seven schools entered the literary competition, which had two competitive categories: Quiz and Extempore.

 

Dr. Anungla Aier, President of MUPSA, made the welcome address while Rev. Fr. Sajimong, Principal of Queen Mary High School, sought God’s presence. Kisangwala Longkumer from Bridges Academy, Changtongya, Chendila Walling from Queen Mary Higher Secondary School, and Temjenlemla from Canaan Christian Higher Secondary School took home the first, second, and third place prizes in the extempore competition.

 

Chumlanthung Rangthang and Yimren L. Jamir, both from Queen Mary Higher Secondary School, won the quiz competition with Yimchar Imchen and Aotoshi Longkumer from Ladybird School taking the second position while Md. Khurshed Reja and Tosachingchong from Canaan Christian Higher Secondary School and Md. Asif Ansari and Sunepjungla Pongen from Straightway Higher Secondary School shared the third position.

 

The winners received certificates and financial awards, and they will participate in the state level competition in Kohima.
Imyatetla, PGT (English), Mayangnokcha Higher Secondary School, and Kevezai Tureng, Assistant professor, Department of Philosophy, FAC, Mokokchung, served as the judges for the events.
