Mokokchung, September 28 (MTNews): Jacob Zhimomi, Minister, PHED, Govt. of Nagaland in a series of tweets informed that a review meeting on implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission & Swachh Bharat Mission (G) as well as on the progress of the Har Ghar Jal Mission was held with PHED Nagaland Engineers at Dimapur on Wednesday.
The Mission was headed by Er. Repangyangba Longkumer, Chief Engineer & HoD, PHED and E. Mhonbemo Patton, Principal Secretary, PHED Nagaland.
Er. N. Thsathrichem Sangtam Chief Engineer (S&WSSO), PHED presented the Status of Implementation on SBM (G). It was informed that they also had an interaction with Executive Engineers of 13 Districts and assured all efforts are being made to complete soon within the stipulated time.
Meanwhile PHED Nagaland tweeted, “We have crossed 50% of the target set and will see that the national average should be crossed in a few months!” While the official twitter handle of Jal Jeevan Mission Nagaland PHED @JJM_Nagaland tweeted, “Excited to Announce that Nagaland has crossed 50% FHTC coverage today ie as on 28th September 2022”.
Launched on August 15, 2019 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the JJM aims to provide tap water connections to all rural households through Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) by 2024.
