Mon, February 18 (MTNews): Despite the National Spokesperson of the BJP, Nalin Kohli, and the BJP President JP Nadda reiterating the strength of the BJP-NDPP alliance, the NDPP-BJP alliance is seeing cracks appear in 43 Tapi AC as its NDPP unit claims a “blatant violation of alliance principle” by the constituency’s Bharatiya Janata Party unit.
In a letter to the Nagaland state president of the BJP, Temjen Imna Along, the NDPP 43 Tapi AC stated that the BJP unit of the constituency, “in complete defiance of the directives of the BJP party higher authorities,” had declared on 11 February 2023 to support the National People’s Party (NPP) candidate A Epha Konyak rather than the NDPP candidate Noke Wangnao.
The letter also claimed that despite appraising the situation to party authorities, “the state BJP failed to initiate any action.”
