Dimapur, February 25 (MTNews): The NSCN-IM has informed its members and the general public that no instruction or directive has been issued to its members to participate in the Nagaland state election campaign in support of any individual(s)/candidate(s) and political party(s).

This was informed following the discovery that certain NSCN members were allegedly using the name of the NSCN’s Collective Leadership and authorities in election campaigning in support of certain party candidates.

“In keeping with the NSCN’s position of staying out of the Indian election, NSCN members/officials involved in the election campaign are directed to refrain from participating in the election campaign/mobilization,” the group said through its MIP on Saturday.

“If found doing so, they are doing it at their own individual capacity and risk,” it cautioned, while adding that disciplinary action shall be initiated against any NSCN member(s) found violating the directive.
