Kohima, April 1 (MTNews): MLA and Advisor Moatoshi Longkumer stressed the need to make skill development programs employment-centric and to ensure that youths trained are gainfully engaged.

 

 

Speaking at his Introductory Meeting and Felicitation Program on 24 March 2023 in the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Nagaland, Kohima, the Advisor encouraged the Department to explore international placements of the trained youths and instructed the department to develop a regulatory mechanism to regulate the private placement agencies that operate in the state.

 

He urged the officers and staff to reinvent the art of work culture and give their best toward public service. He further exhorted the Vocational Instructors to rededicate themselves and improvise their teaching techniques in delivering quality skill training to the unemployed youths in the state.

 

The MLA and Advisor also expressed his gratitude to the department for organizing the introductory meeting and felicitation program. He emphasized the importance of generating awareness of various skilling programs being implemented and instructed the department to make all-out efforts for their wide publicity so that every youth gets the benefits.

 

Kovi Meyase, NCS, Additional Secretary and Ex-Officio Director, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, while welcoming Moatoshi Longkumer, MLA and Advisor, congratulated him on his new tenure and briefed the objective of the meeting.
